Collect:  One lavender (EDTA) 3.0 mL (also acceptable: EDTA microtainer)
 
Transport:   3.0 mL (min: 1.0 mL) whole blood refrigerated
Stability for microtainer samples obtained by fingerstick or heelstick is 8 hours ambient and 24 hours refrigerated
 
Unacceptable Conditions:  Clotted.

Stability:  Ambient: 12 Hours / Refrigerated: 24 Hours / Frozen: Unacceptable
